We’ve all heard the proverb, “if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” This is proven when it comes to the competitive advantage of collaboration in business. Deloitte reported that 52% of companies that focus on collaboration as a priority surpassed their competitors, while only 20% of businesses without a team-focused strategy were able to do so. Aside from topping their competition, Deloitte found “businesses that consider collaboration an important component of their overall business strategy were 4 times more likely to see growth in their bottom line.”

Technology has been a key aspect of elevating team collaboration and improvement in the workplace. In a recent report by Springtide Research Institute based on a poll of 6,900 Generation Z individuals, 38% said they lack a real mentor and don’t have someone in their life that demonstrates positive actions for success in life, let alone success in business. And 82% said they would like to work with a supervisor that provides guidance and cares for them.
