Count Me In Launches "Small Business Perfect Pitch" Mobile App

Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence (CMI), the leading national not-for-profit provider of resources, business education, and community support for women entrepreneurs, has announced the release of Small Business Perfect Pitch, a new mobile application designed to help all small business owners improve on one of their two-minute business pitch.

“Your two-minute pitch is one of the most valuable tools you have to grow your business,” explains Nell Merlino, founder and president of Count Me In. “If you can’t talk about your business clearly and succinctly, you will have a hard time convincing banks, investors, new customers and even press and the public on why they should buy your product.”

The app will be available for download to iPhones (with iOS5) and Android phones (all versions) beginning September 26, 2012.

Over the past decade, Count Me In has helped thousands of business owners learn how to “Tell it to sell it!” through its virtual and live business growth programs and events. With Small Business Perfect Pitch, CMI can offer these best practices to men and women everywhere in an easy to use mobile application.

Small Business Perfect Pitch offers users a convenient way to access proven tools, tips and exercises designed to help them best present their business to banks and investors, potential clients, through media opportunities, and even in social situations. It also provides helpful lessons on how to avoid common mistakes that can distract target audiences from key messages – from how to avoid “ums” and “uhs” to non-verbal cues many entrepreneurs are not aware of when speaking. Other features include:

•CMI pitch tips, video demonstrations, and exercises that can be viewed without internet access to maximize convenience

•Pitch Calendar that users can sync with their phone’s Google calendar and a Pitch Notes tool to allow the user to track their presentations and follow up on opportunities

•Web links to additional demonstrations and small business resources on YouTube and the CMI website

“In an increasingly competitive marketplace, small business owners need to know how to talk about their product or service in a way that is going to help get new customers and contracts, as well as convince investors that they are a good bet,” explains Merlino. “ You need to know how to talk about your business effectively in order to grow it.”

Count Me In’s Small Business Perfect Pitch was developed with support of a grant from the Sam’s Club Giving Program. The concept was realized by imagistic, a business and technology solutions firm, using Sencha Touch 2.0 to develop Small Business Perfect Pitch.
