For many Madison-area businesses, this year's Small Business Saturday was more important than ever. A recent IRS ruling tying up a loose end in the 2020 economic-relief law could force many small businesses to pay taxes on government aid meant to help through the pandemic.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wisconsin has freed up another $120 million dollars in small business grants.

While Wisconsin small businesses are waiting to hear if they have been awarded "We're All In" grants through the state government, the pot of money has increased by $70 million.
