As businesses continue to struggle with the economic effects of another Covid surge they look to the government for relief, reports News 5 Cleveland. 

As the U.S. continues to deal with the omicron surge, many small businesses owners are struggling to stay afloat. Now, they’re calling on Congress to provide additional federal aid to help them keep their heads above water.

Small business lending has increased, reports Small Business Trends.

Asides lending to small businesses from the big bank witnessing a rise, small bank approvals for the same period also increased.

According to the Journal of Accountancy, the IRS has made it easier for small businesses to change their tax accounting methods. 

Under guidance in Rev. Proc. 2022-9 issued Thursday, taxpayers may obtain the IRS's automatic consent to change their tax accounting methods to comply with final regulations relating to simpler tax accounting methods available to smaller businesses.
