The head of the Small Business Administration, Karen Mills, is stepping down from her post, reports the Huffington Post. Mills has served as administrator for the SBA since 2009.

A new report by Newtex Business Services shows 65% of small businesses surveyed have idea how they will manage healthcare costs for the next 12 months, reports The Daily News. Despite the looming deadline for the Affordable Care Act, many businesses remain on the fence about handling their rising healthcare costs.

Small business loans in California grew 58% in 2012, reports the Sacramento Bee. The figures are from Chase, the banking arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co, who extended $7.5 billion in new loans to California small business.
