Cyber Attacks Cost Businesses Thousands

According to SC Magazine, a new study by the National Small Businesses Association shows the average cost of a cyber attack on a small business. Of the 845 businesses surveyed over half had suffered a cyber attack and the average cost to the business was $8,700.

Small Businesses Shy Away from Crowdfunding

Despite numerous crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo small business owners are declining to use crowdfunding, reports Fox Small Business. In a new survey ninety-two percent of men and 94% of women reported that they would not use crowdfunding as a way to finance their business.

Data Breaches Rising in Small Business

Verizon’s 2012 Data Breach Investigations Study of 855 data breaches shows that 71% of them occurred in businesses with fewer than 100 employees, reports Forbes. Small businesses need to take precautions to prevent the loss of data.
