Between knowing which questions are considered discriminatory in nature under both federal and state laws to ensuring inappropriate comments aren’t uttered during a job interview, employers need to be careful nothing they say or do during the hiring process could lead to claims of discrimination.

When Etsy, the popular online crafters marketplace when public last week, its stock price soared 86 percent by the day’s closing trading bell. Just a few days later, Etsy’s stock price has taken a dive but sales of the crafts created by Etsy’s 1.4 million active sellers remain consistent. The Brooklyn-based company, valued at over $3 billion, has served as the e-conduit between its crafters and 19.8 million active buyers since its inception in 2005.

Online Lending Platforms Growing By Leaps And Clicks

There’s money in that laptop, or at least that’s what a growing number of online lending platforms want entrepreneurs to believe. In 2014 alone, Lending Club entrusted borrowers with $2.96 billion in new loans. Since its inception in 2007, the company has lent several billion dollars. According to Peter Renton, a Lending Club co-founder, the company projects it will lend upwards of $10 billion in 2015.
