Carbonite Brings Leading Cloud Backup to Comcast Business Services

Carbonite, Inc. Together, Carbonite and Comcast will deliver cloud solutions for small businesses that may be conveniently purchased and managed from one central location.

The Upware(TM) marketplace is a suite of cloud-based business solutions that can be purchased through one easy-to-use web portal. It contains a carefully selected list of third-party, cloud-based business applications from industry-leading companies in key categories such as data backup, data security, document collaboration and web collaboration. Upware is designed to meet the needs of small and medium businesses looking to use cloud-based solutions to simplify their IT systems, control costs and increase productivity.

Carbonite Business cloud backup solutions are designed specifically for small businesses. Carbonite Business offers real-time automated computer backup, low flat-rate pricing and a variety of features designed to address the unique needs of small businesses, including budget, security and accessibility requirements. Now, Comcast Business Class customers can purchase Carbonite Business directly on the Upware marketplace from Comcast Business, making it easy to ensure simple online backup is a part of their business' software suite.

        accessed from any computer connected to the Internet and lets the
        account administrator check the backup status for multiple computers,
        invite new users, and monitor the company's backup storage level.
    -- External hard drive and NAS (network attached storage) backup:
        Businesses can add files and folders saved on an external drive to their
        online backup and also back up their NAS devices.
    -- Windows Server backup: With Carbonite BusinessPremier, users can back up
        servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2011.
    -- Private Encryption Key Management: Carbonite Business users have the
        option to manage their own private encryption key, which allows
