Regulating Alternative Lenders

The credit gap has caused an increase in unconventional lenders, reports Businessweek. The lenders cater to small businesses in need of credit, that they are unable to get from traditional lending sources. Currently, there is no alternative lending regulations and lawmakers think there should be, they point to the high borrowing costs and lack of transparency.
