Opinion:
I think it is great that Mayor Bowser is taking steps to help small businesses in Washington, D.C. during the COVID-19 pandemic. Small businesses are the backbone of the economy and it is important that they are supported during this difficult time. The additional $2 million will go a long way in helping small businesses stay afloat and will help to ensure that the local economy is able to recover quickly. It is important that other cities and states follow suit and provide similar resources to their small businesses.
