Sage BusinessVision is All About the Customer

Sage North America today introduced Sage BusinessVision Accounting 2011, which features numerous customer-driven enhancements focused in three areas: point-of-sale (POS), Canadian payroll reporting and processing, and sales tax tracking and compliance.

Providing powerful tools for retail, wholesale, and light manufacturing companies, Sage BusinessVision is modular and available in four editions – Limited, Small Business, Standard, and Client/Server – to help meet the unique and varying needs of small and midsized businesses (SMBs).

"This software release highlights Sage's focus on the customer experience, since nearly all features of Sage BusinessVision 2011 directly resulted from customer feedback," said Sam Hunter, senior vice president and general manager for Sage BusinessVision. "Sage Business Vision 2011 is full of improvements that can save time for a small or midsized business, while making it easier for that business' customers to do business with them, driving both customer satisfaction and profitability."

Point of Sale

Highlighted by a new touchscreen interface, the Sage BusinessVision's Point of Sale module now provides a complete POS solution compatible with popular touchscreen and POS hardware and integrates with the Sage Exchange payments platform for optional credit and debit card processing functionality. Built by Sage Payment Solutions, Sage's payments processing division, Sage Exchange is Payment Card Industry (PCI)-compliant and is designed to help SMBs get paid faster and spend less time manually entering and reconciling payments data.

The Point of Sale module's new touchscreen interface increases the efficiency of the checkout process by allowing users to enter all aspects of the sales process directly on the screen. Users can also now print gift receipts, process returns more quickly, reprint receipts, and more.

The Sage Exchange integration to the Sage BusinessVision 2011 software makes it easier for users to record payments from their customers. Once a user indicates in Sage BusinessVision that a customer is using a credit or debit card for payment, Sage Exchange handles the entire credit or debit card payment process, while recording the payment in Sage BusinessVision in one step. No double-entry is required, so data errors may be decreased and the speed of the payment process during checkout may be increased.

Canadian Payroll Reporting and Compliance

Sage BusinessVision 2011 software helps simplify the annual Canadian payroll reporting process by enabling electronic filing for various forms and statements. New features for completing T4 reporting include the option to modify T4 values before printing and the ability to print T4 Summary reports.

Sales Tax Tracking

Sage BusinessVision 2011 technology helps users more easily manage the complexities of Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) tracking by allowing them to define Provincial exemption rules for each inventory item and giving them the option to modify tax rates on purchase orders for drop ship items.

A customizable accounting and business management system, with tailored editions and deployment options to suit single users and entire businesses, Sage BusinessVision Accounting has add-on functionality, such as multicurrency and Sage BusinessVision CustomPack, a suite of five powerful features to enhance Sage BusinessVision's functionality. In addition, Web-enabled Sage eBusinessVision manages eCommerce activities and integrates with Sage BusinessVision. The product also has an array of compatible industry-specific solutions, created by Sage's development partners.
