Many small businesses are confused about whether they qualify as a small business under Obamacare, reports the Washington Post. While Obamacare legislation features items that pertain only to small businesses, the new rules rely on different measures to determine which firms are considered “small,” and several of those are scheduled to change in the coming years.

Small Business Owners Skip the Vacation

A new survey from American Express shows that small business owners are forgoing vacations this summer. Only forty-nine percent of the survey's participants said they planned to take at least one full week off during the summer. This is down from 54 percent a year ago. Pre recession over 67 percent of those surveyed planned on taking a vacation.

Small businesses are hesitant to automate key business operations, reports Fox Small Business. A new survey by Yodle found that half of business surveyed used technology for accounting, but only a small percentage used automated technology for other key business operations.
