According to Businessweek, three months after Superstorm Sandy the Small Business Association has approved more than $1.1 billion in disaster loans for small businesses.

According to the Denver Business Journal, Denver’s small business sector is one of the most vital in the U.S. Out of 102 U.S. markets Denver ranks third behind Austin, Texas and Oklahoma City.

Thanks to the settlement with Visa and Mastercard, retailers now have the right to pass the credit card fees on to the consumer, reports Tulsa World. Yet, many small businesses are opting not to do that fearing it would alienate their customers.
