According to Small Business Trends, the IRS has released the 2023 mileage reimbursement rates. 

The release of the 2023 standard mileage rate from the IRS reveals the rate is going up. The new standard mileage rate for 2023 is 65.5 cents per mile.

A Wall Street Business Journal business survey finds that small businesses had an easier time finding employees in December, reports Business Reports. 

The U.S. job market remains historically tight. But December marked the first time since July where more small business owners said in a survey for The Wall Street Journal that they found it easier—rather than harder—to find workers.

According to the Guardian, non-compete clauses aren’t used as much anymore.

Once upon a time a business would hire an employee and make them sign an employment agreement which would include a “non-compete” clause – a pro-business protection that serves one objective: prohibiting an employee from working for a competitor.
