Small Business Owners Face Cyber Threat Unprepared

A new survey shows that many small business are unprepared for a cyber attack, reports eWeek. A majority, 75 percent, do not have cyber insurance or even know if their insurance offers cyber insurance. Even more troubling 22 percent of those surveyed aren’t performing regular backups of their data.

Feds Consider More Oversight of Online Lenders

Online lenders that cater to small businesses, some who can’t get a traditional bank loan, generated $1.9 billion dollars in loans in 2015. This is up 60% from 2014. Now, federal regulators are wondering if there should be more oversight of the industry.

Credit Scores No Longer Holding Small Business Owners Back

According to Small Business Trends, small business owners with bad credit often could not get a business loan, but now some lenders are willing to work with owners that have poor credit. For example, Kabbage doesn’t require a minimum credit score, instead they focus on the health of your business.
