Aid Still Available for Hurricane Sandy Victims

According to Press of Atlantic City, the U.S. Small Business Administration announced that as of April, the SBA has disbursed about $100 million in low interest loans statewide for victims of Hurricane Sandy. The administration is concerned that business that qualify for aid are not applying.

Small Business Loans Up

Fourth quarter outstanding small business loans totaled $586 billion, reports the Washington Post. According to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp, this is up from the $584 billion reported in third quarter.

A survey by The National Small Business Association showed the majority of those surveyed support an e-Verify system, which electronically checks the immigration status of new employees, reports the LA Times.
