President Biden’s new Executive Order could help minority owned small businesses secure government contracts, reports Washington Technology.

Among the raft of executive orders President Biden has signed in his first days in office is one that has the potential to revamp small business contracting.

A new survey from Alignable finds that 49% of all minority small businesses couldn’t make rent in January, reports Axios. 

Nearly half (49%) of all minority small business owners and a third (33%) of all small business owners were unable to pay their rent this month, according to the latest survey from Alignable.

According to CNBC, there will be no second round of funding for the Economic Injury Disaster relief loan program. 

Small businesses that took a hit from the coronavirus pandemic will be able to draw a second Paycheck Protection Program loan. But the same isn’t true for another popular Covid-era funding source for entrepreneurs.
