The Government Rescinds Some Payments

The federal government is rescinding thousands of dollars in aid promised to restaurants, reports NBC 15. 

Almost 3,000 small business owners are facing the rollback of federal money they were promised under the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. Less than three weeks ago, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) stopped distributing money from the fund, leaving some business owners hanging.

As Small Businesses Begin Slow Recovery from COVID-19, National Association Awards $12k in Growth Grants

With the small business community beginning the slow recovery from the devastating COVID pandemic, the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the nation’s leading advocate and resource for the self-employed and micro-business community, announced $12,000 in Growth Grants to three local Florida, Texas and New York businesses for the first quarter of 2021.  Today’s announcement also includes a  partnership with DELL Small Business who generously has sponsored $4,000 for the January Growth Grant award.

Senators Work to Protect Businesses from Cybercrime

Senators have introduced a bill that would help protect small businesses from cyberattacks, reports the Hill. 

A bipartisan group of senators Thursday introduced a bill intended to protect small businesses from cyberattacks after hacks crippled some of the country’s largest companies.
