Stopping New Sales Tax Requirements
eBay is joining forces with local small business to encourage legislators to shoot down two proposed internet tax bills. The Marketplace Fairness Act and the Remote Transactions Parity Act would allow state governments to collect sales tax on transactions by companies with no physical presence in the state. The 25 small business owners will meet with local legislators in Washington D.C. in hopes of convincing them to veto the bills.

The results of Time Warner Cable Business Class’ Small Business Technology Impact Study finds that 36 percent of shoppers will not visit a business that doesn’t have a website.
