More Workers Will Be Eligible for Overtime

According to Fox Business, The National Federation of Independent Business is concerned that new overtime rules will harm small business. The new rules set to go into effect changes the wage base for overtime (more than 40hrs), presently only those making less than 23,660 are eligible for overtime. Stopping New Sales Tax Requirements

eBay is joining forces with local small business to encourage legislators to shoot down two proposed internet tax bills. The Marketplace Fairness Act and the Remote Transactions Parity Act would allow state governments to collect sales tax on transactions by companies with no physical presence in the state. The 25 small business owners will meet with local legislators in Washington D.C. in hopes of convincing them to veto the bills. Read more...
