In 2012, small businesses accounted for 36% of all cyber attacks, reports Venture Beat, a majority of which were mobile cyber attacks. Yet, only 16% of businesses surveyed have a mobility policy (a policy that outlines the security of mobile devices) in place.

According to The Street, FEMA estimates that over 40% of all businesses don’t reopen after a disaster. In addition, 25% of those that do reopen after a disaster fail within a year. These numbers highlight how important it is for small businesses to have a disaster recovery plan.
