According to Entrepreneur, New York’s City Council has passed a bill requiring companies with more than 20 employees to provide five days of annual paid sick leave to their employees. The new law goes into effect next April.

According to Fox Small Business, a recent survey shows that 97% of those businesses surveyed use social media such as Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook to market their businesses versus only 17 % that use location-based advertising, such as Foursquare.

The overall volume of financing to small businesses fell to 98.5, reports Reuters. The Thomson Reuters/PayNet Small Business Lending Index fell to 98.5 in March. This is down from the 105.4 reported in February.
